Ready-mix is batched at a plant and starts curing in the drum on the way to you - the mix and volume are fixed when it leaves. Volumetric concrete is batched fresh at your site, so the grade can be adjusted on the day, the concrete is always fresh, and you're billed on what's actually poured.
Yes. Orders below 3m³ are subject to a part-load charge. Because our volumetric mixers batch concrete on-site, you only pay for the concrete you use. For orders of 3m³ or more, there is no part-load charge, giving you greater flexibility and helping to minimise waste.
Same or next day for most of our area. We're based in Effingham, minutes from Leatherhead, Bookham, Fetcham, Cobham and Dorking, and every delivery gets a confirmed 2-hour window. Out-of-hours slots are available for early starts and weekend pours.
Our volumetric mixers are a similar size to a standard 8-wheel ready-mix truck and need roughly 3m width of clear access. If access is tight or the pour is far from where we can park, ask about concrete pump hire when you call - we'll advise on the best setup for your site.
