Volumetric concrete for Redhill, Earlswood, Whitebushes and Merstham, about 28 minutes from our Effingham yard. Mixed on site from 1m³, with a line pump where the truck can't reach.
Yes, Surex Concrete delivers to Redhill and RH1, including Earlswood, Whitebushes, Merstham and the Nutfields. The truck mixes the concrete on your site, so you order what you think you need and pay for what's poured.
Getting to Redhill
Redhill grew where the A23 and A25 cross the Greensand Ridge through a natural gap, and the railway uses the same gap. From Effingham it's about 28 minutes without traffic, and M25 junction 8 is a few miles away for trade sites on the north side.
The town centre needs planning. Surrey County Council has brought in a restricted parking zone on the pedestrianised parts of Station Road, London Road and the High Street, and vehicles parked there without permission can be ticketed at any time. For a job in or near the centre, tell us the address and we'll work out where the truck can legally stand, or pump in from further away.
Pouring in Redhill
Most of Redhill sits on the Lower Greensand, including the sandy Folkestone Beds. Fuller's earth was dug at Redhill until 2000 and on a much bigger scale at Nutfield, and Mercers Lake is an old sand working. Whitebushes, towards Earlswood, had clay pits and brickworks. Merstham, north of the M25, is close to the North Downs chalk. So old workings, sand and chalk can all turn up within a few miles, and your groundworker should check the dig before the pour.
There's a lot of building going on. The council has rebuilt much of the town centre, with Warwick Quadrant finished in 2017 and The Rise on Marketfield Way in 2023. In Merstham, the council, Raven Housing Trust and Surrey County Council have been regenerating the 1950s estate with new homes, shops and a community hub.
Trade work is centred on the Holmethorpe industrial estate, about a mile north of the town centre near the M25.
Access and permissions
Most jobs need nothing more than a phone call. These are the Redhill exceptions.
The Redhill Brook runs in a culvert under the town centre. In heavy rain it can back up and flood the surface, and the council's flood studies flag parts of Earlswood and Merstham too. Agree slab levels and drainage first.
South Nutfield and Nutfield share the RH1 postcode but come under Tandridge District Council for planning, not Reigate and Banstead. Check with the right one.
Redhill High Street and Merstham both have conservation areas, and most in the borough carry Article 4 directions. A new front drive over 5m² needs permission anywhere unless it drains to a lawn or border.
Guide figures only. Building control, your engineer or your groundworker sets the final grade and depth. Tell us what they've specified and we'll batch it on site. Concrete grades explained.
Measure the pour, enter it below, then call us with the figure. A rough estimate is enough - we batch to what the job takes.
Measure the area you're filling - a slab, footing, trench or base. Mixed units are fine.

Not just anywhere. A restricted parking zone now covers the pedestrianised parts of Station Road, London Road and the High Street, where unauthorised vehicles can be ticketed. Give us the address and we'll plan where the truck stands or pump in.
Parts of it. The Redhill Brook runs in a culvert under the centre and can back up in heavy rain, and the council's flood studies also flag parts of Earlswood and Merstham. Agree slab levels with your designer first.
Tandridge District Council. Nutfield and South Nutfield have Redhill postcodes, but they sit outside Reigate and Banstead for planning.
Most domestic driveways use C25/30 laid 150mm to 200mm deep over a compacted sub-base. Footings are usually C20/25 or C25/30.
We deliver from 1m³. Orders under 3m³ carry a part load charge, and at 3m³ or more there isn't one.
Give us the postcode, a rough volume and how the truck gets in. We'll confirm the grade, the price and a delivery slot on the call.
