Cobham is 8 minutes from our Effingham yard. We supply volumetric concrete and pump hire for big houses, basements and long private drives, mixed on site from 1m³.
Yes, Surex Concrete delivers to Cobham and the rest of KT11, including Church Cobham, Downside, Fairmile and Stoke d'Abernon. It's one of the closest towns to our yard.
Getting to Cobham
Cobham is about 8 minutes from Effingham without traffic, so a morning call can often be an afternoon pour. The traffic that matters is on the A245 towards the A3 and M25 junction 10, where queues build and road works have closed slip roads in the past. We time Cobham deliveries around that.
The A245 also crosses the railway at Stoke d'Abernon on a humpback bridge, then winds down to the bottom of the High Street. If your site is off that stretch, tell us where the truck can pull in.
Pouring in Cobham
Cobham has four large private estates: Fairmile, Oxshott Way, Eaton Park and the Crown Estate. Plots on Oxshott Way average around half an acre. Elmbridge's planning records show a steady flow of big new houses with basements, in Eaton Park and elsewhere.
That work suits volumetric concrete. A basement slab or retaining wall pour can run for hours, and the truck mixes as it goes, so the last metre is as fresh as the first. You pay for what's poured, not for a full drum that turns out to be too much.
The ground is London Clay with Bagshot sand in places, and softer, wetter ground by the Mole. Clay shrinks and swells near trees, which on these plots often means deeper footings than planned.
Access and permissions
Big plots come with their own access problems. These are the common ones in Cobham.
We can park at the gate and pump in, keeping a loaded truck off resin, block paving or gravel. A line pump reaches up to about 100 metres.
Estates may have their own rules for contractors' vehicles and working hours. Check with the estate office or residents' association and tell us when you book.
Church Cobham, The Tilt, Downside and Plough Corner are all conservation areas. The Cobham Conservation Area covers the old core along the Mole, with 21 listed buildings.
Guide figures only. Basements and pools are always to the engineer's specification. Send it to us and we'll batch to it, including waterproofing and retarding admixtures. Concrete grades explained.
Measure the pour, enter it below, then call us with the figure. A rough estimate is enough - we batch to what the job takes.
Measure the area you're filling - a slab, footing, trench or base. Mixed units are fine.

Fill in all three dimensions to see the volume. We include a 5% wastage allowance.
Minimum delivery of 1m³ not met. We'll still quote 1m³ for the pour. Call 0800 669 6500 if you're unsure.
Tell us the volume and postcode and we'll confirm the right mix, the price and a delivery slot.
Surex Concrete delivers volumetric concrete across Cobham and KT11, including Stoke d'Abernon, Downside and Fairmile, from its yard in Effingham about 8 minutes away. The truck mixes on site, so you order from 1m³ and pay for what's poured.
Yes. We batch basement slabs and retaining walls to the engineer's grade, usually C32/40 or above, with waterproofing admixture if it's specified. The truck mixes as it pours, so a long pour stays fresh.
Usually, but estates such as Fairmile, Oxshott Way, Eaton Park and the Crown Estate may have their own contractor rules. Check with the estate before you book. If the truck can't come onto the drive, we pump from the gate.
It can, so on gravel, resin or block paving we usually stay at the gate and pump. A line pump reaches up to about 100 metres.
Parts of it. The Environment Agency has a flood warning area for the River Mole at Stoke d'Abernon, Cobham and South Hersham. If your site is near the river, agree slab levels with your designer first.
We deliver from 1m³. Orders under 3m³ carry a part load charge, and at 3m³ or more there isn't one.
Give us the postcode, a rough volume and how the truck gets in. We'll confirm the grade, the price and a delivery slot on the call.
