Volumetric concrete for Oxshott's private roads and big plots, about 15 minutes from our Effingham yard. Mixed on site from 1m³, with a line pump for gardens and long drives.
Yes, Surex Concrete delivers to Oxshott, including the Crown Estate, Knott Park and Danes Way. The truck mixes the concrete when it arrives, and a line pump reaches pours the truck can't get to.
Getting to Oxshott
The A244 runs through the village, and most routes in pass the station on the corner of Warren Lane. It's about 15 minutes from our yard without traffic.
Copsem Lane, the A244 towards Esher, has a 7.5 tonne weight limit for lorries between 10pm and 6am, and Surrey County Council has consulted on enforcing it with cameras. It's aimed at lorries cutting through at night. We deliver between 7am and 5pm, so it doesn't affect a daytime pour.
Sandy Lane, by the Oxshott Heath car parks, is narrow and partly unmade, and verge parking can leave it down to single file. If your site is off it, tell us and we'll plan where the truck stands.
Pouring in Oxshott
Oxshott Heath and Woods, about 200 acres of protected heath and woodland, sits where Bagshot sand lies over London Clay. The higher, sandy ground drains well. Lower down, the clay moves with the seasons. Sand was dug here for building in the late 1800s, and John Early's brickworks used the clay from 1866 to 1958. Old pits that were later filled can make the ground patchy, so your groundworker should check the dig before the pour.
Oxshott was a hamlet until the railway arrived in 1885. Big houses followed on Crown Estate land, and private roads still make up much of the village: the Crown Estate, including the Birds Hill roads, plus Knott Park and Danes Way. Plots are large and mature, so rebuilds, extensions, pools and garden buildings are the usual work.
Unlike Cobham next door, Oxshott isn't a conservation area. The open land round the village is Green Belt, though, and that governs what can be built on it.
Access and permissions
The things that decide how the concrete reaches the pour in Oxshott.
The Crown Estate, Knott Park and Danes Way roads are private. Check with the estate or residents' association about contractors' vehicles before you book, and tell us what they say.
On gravel, resin or block paving we can park at the gate and pump in. A line pump reaches up to about 100 metres, which covers most Oxshott plots.
Elmbridge asks for a BS 5837 tree survey, with root protection areas, when works affect protected trees. Where a pour is near big oaks or pines, pumping over the roots keeps the truck off them.
Guide figures only. Basements and structural pours are always to the engineer's specification. Send it to us and we'll batch to it, including waterproofing and retarding admixtures. Concrete grades explained.
Measure the pour, enter it below, then call us with the figure. A rough estimate is enough - we batch to what the job takes.
Measure the area you're filling - a slab, footing, trench or base. Mixed units are fine.

No. The 7.5 tonne limit on the A244 Copsem Lane applies from 10pm to 6am. Our deliveries run in the day, between 7am and 5pm.
Usually, but these are private roads, so check with the estate about contractors' vehicles first. If the truck can't come onto your drive, we pump from the road.
Both. Sand lies over London Clay around the heath, and old sand and clay pits were dug in the area until 1958. Your groundworker should check the ground in the dig, and we batch to what they find.
No. Oxshott isn't on Elmbridge's list of conservation areas, unlike Cobham. The open land round the village is Green Belt, and protected trees still need care.
We deliver from 1m³. Orders under 3m³ carry a part load charge, and at 3m³ or more there isn't one.
