Volumetric concrete for Kingston, Norbiton, Coombe and the riverside, about 29 minutes from our Effingham yard up the A3. Mixed on site from 1m³, with a line pump for tight town plots.
Yes, Surex Concrete delivers to Kingston upon Thames, KT1 and KT2, including Norbiton, Coombe and the riverside streets. We come up the A3 from Effingham, and the truck mixes the concrete on your site.
Getting to Kingston
Kingston is about 29 minutes from our yard along the A3 Kingston Bypass, with the A240, A307 and A308 running into the centre. The town centre has run on a one way gyratory round Clarence Street and Kingston Bridge since 1963, and much of the old town is pedestrianised, so tell us the exact address and where the truck can stop.
Because Kingston is in London, two sets of rules apply that don't apply in Surrey. The London Lorry Control Scheme keeps lorries over 18 tonnes to main roads at night and from 1pm on Saturday unless they have a permit. And the Ultra Low Emission Zone doesn't charge lorries at all; heavy vehicles come under London's separate Low Emission Zone instead.
Pouring in Kingston
Kingston sits on London Clay, cut through by the Thames. Close to the river, around Canbury Gardens and the riverside, the ground is usually river gravel with silty alluvium on top. Further back, towards Norbiton and Coombe, it's more often clay, which moves with the seasons and pushes footings deeper near trees. Your groundworker should check the dig, and we batch to what they find.
The old town still has its medieval street pattern, with plots as narrow as three metres around Market Place and Church Street. A truck often can't get close, so we pump from the nearest spot it can stand. Riverside North, around Canbury Gardens and Lower Ham Road, is big Victorian and Edwardian houses from the 1890s onwards.
There's plenty of building too. The Cambridge Road Estate in KT1 is being rebuilt with 2,170 new homes over the next decade or so, and the first residents moved into new council homes in 2026. For trade customers, Canbury Park, Fairfield and Kingsmill off Villiers Road, and St George's off Richmond Road are the nearest business areas to the centre.
Access and permissions
In Kingston the council, not Surrey, runs parking and dropped kerbs.
The Royal Borough charges per five metre space per day: £61.60 in the town centre zones with over a week's notice, £41 elsewhere. Less notice costs more, and anything starting within five days has to be booked by phone.
Kingston Old Town and Riverside North are conservation areas. Neither has an Article 4 direction on driveways, but a dropped kerb there needs planning permission, and the council's own Highways team builds it.
The Environment Agency's River Thames at Kingston flood warning area covers the centre, Canbury Gardens and Albany Park Road, and the one way system has closed for flooding before. Near the river, agree slab levels first.
Guide figures only. Building control, your engineer or your groundworker sets the final grade and depth. Tell us what they've specified and we'll batch it on site. Concrete grades explained.
Measure the pour, enter it below, then call us with the figure. A rough estimate is enough - we batch to what the job takes.
Measure the area you're filling - a slab, footing, trench or base. Mixed units are fine.

Surex Concrete delivers volumetric concrete to Kingston, KT1 and KT2, from its yard in Effingham about 29 minutes away along the A3. The truck mixes on site, so you can order from 1m³ and pay only for what you use.
Yes, but the London Lorry Control Scheme restricts lorries over 18 tonnes on residential roads from 1pm on Saturday, so tell us if you want an afternoon slot when you book.
No. The Ultra Low Emission Zone doesn't charge lorries over 3.5 tonnes. Heavy vehicles are covered by London's separate Low Emission Zone instead.
Apply to the Royal Borough of Kingston. A town centre bay costs £61.60 a day with more than a week's notice, and £41 a day elsewhere in the borough. Bookings starting within five days have to be made by phone.
Most domestic driveways use C25/30 laid 150mm to 200mm deep over a compacted sub-base. A new front drive over 5m² needs permission unless it drains to a lawn or border.
We deliver from 1m³. Orders under 3m³ carry a part load charge, and at 3m³ or more there isn't one.
Give us the postcode, a rough volume and how the truck gets in. We'll confirm the grade, the price and a delivery slot on the call.
