Volumetric concrete for Tadworth, Kingswood, Lower Kingswood and Walton on the Hill, about 21 minutes from our Effingham yard. Mixed on site from 1m³, with pump hire for big plots.
Yes, Surex Concrete delivers across KT20: Tadworth, Kingswood, Lower Kingswood and Walton on the Hill. The truck mixes the concrete when it arrives, and a line pump reaches pours at the back of long plots.
Getting to Tadworth
Tadworth is about 21 minutes from our yard across the North Downs. The A217 dual carriageway runs down its eastern side to M25 junction 8, with Kingswood on the other side of it, and the B2032 runs through the village towards Walton on the Hill.
Many of Kingswood's roads aren't public highway. Warren Drive, The Chase, Copt Hill Road, Eyhurst Close, Sandy Lane, Woodland Way, Alcocks Lane and others are private, each looked after by a frontagers' or residents' association that pays for the surface and its upkeep. If your house is on one, check with the association before a loaded truck arrives, and tell us what they say.
Pouring in Tadworth
All of Tadworth sits on North Downs chalk, sloping from about 180 metres down to 151 metres at the top of Langley Vale. There are no streams at all, because the chalk soaks the water up. Driveways and bases usually drain well here.
Kingswood is more broken ground. It drops into Hogden Bottom between Lower and Upper Kingswood, where a seasonal chalk stream runs after wet winters. Low spots like that can hold water, so check the ground there before a pour.
Kingswood Warren and the private roads round it are large detached houses on big plots, so the usual work is extensions, garages, garden buildings and long drives. Tadworth itself is mostly family houses round three small parades, and Tadworth Court, a Grade I listed house from 1700, is home to The Children's Trust.
Access and permissions
Three things to sort before a Tadworth or Kingswood pour.
On a Kingswood private road, the frontagers' association looks after the surface. Let them know about the delivery, and ask if there are rules on heavy vehicles.
Reigate and Banstead has drafted a conservation area appraisal for Kingswood. Most of the borough's conservation areas carry Article 4 directions, which bring external changes under planning control.
Walton Heath is a local nature conservation site, and Burgh Heath is part of the Banstead Commons. If you back onto either, keep pump lines and spoil off the heath.
Guide figures only. Building control, your engineer or your groundworker sets the final grade and depth. Tell us what they've specified and we'll batch it on site. Concrete grades explained.
Measure the pour, enter it below, then call us with the figure. A rough estimate is enough - we batch to what the job takes.
Measure the area you're filling - a slab, footing, trench or base. Mixed units are fine.

Mostly. Tadworth is on chalk with no streams, so water soaks away. Low spots such as Hogden Bottom in Kingswood can hold water after a wet winter, so check those before pouring.
