Volumetric concrete for Woking and its villages, from Knaphill and St John's to Pyrford and Old Woking. Mixed on site from 1m³, and around 22 minutes from our yard.
Yes, Surex Concrete delivers to Woking. That covers GU21, GU22 and the GU24 villages round Brookwood, with volumetric concrete mixed on your site and a line pump where the truck can't get close.
Getting to Woking
From Effingham we come in on the A246 and then the A247 through Send, or via Ripley, depending on the traffic. It's about 10 miles and 22 minutes. Old Woking and Pyrford are on the near side of town. Knaphill, St John's and Goldsworth Park are on the far side.
The railway splits the town centre, and the Victoria Arch underpass has a signed clearance of 4.4 metres. It has been hit by lorries often enough that it's being widened. Our trucks are lower than that, so the arch doesn't stop us reaching the north side of town.
Pouring in Woking
Much of central Woking and the heaths round Horsell Common sit on Bagshot sand, which drains well and wants a solid, well compacted sub-base. Towards Knaphill the ground turns to clay, which moves with the seasons and pushes footings deeper. Knowing which end of the borough you're in tells you a lot about the job.
The houses vary just as much. Hook Heath has late Victorian and Edwardian houses, including Lutyens' Fisher's Hill House from 1901. Goldsworth Park was built in the 1970s and 80s as a garden estate for around 12,000 people. Maybury has converted Victorian and Edwardian houses next to newer schemes.
There's steady trade work too. Sheerwater is being rebuilt with up to 1,200 new homes, and the Monument Way West estate is marked for new industrial units.
Access and permissions
Woking has more planning constraints than most of Surrey. It's worth knowing which ones apply before you set a date.
Horsell, Old Woking, Mount Hermon and Byfleet Corner are among them. A front driveway over 5m² needs planning permission anywhere in England unless it drains to a lawn or border.
Parts of Horsell Common, Sheets Heath and Brookwood Heath are protected. That affects new homes nearby more than a patio or garage base, but your architect will know.
Old Woking and Westfield sit close to both rivers and have Environment Agency flood warnings. If the ground is wet, agree the slab level and sub-base with your builder first.
Guide figures only. Your engineer, groundworker or building control sets the final grade and depth. Send us their spec and we'll batch it, including fibres or waterproofing admixture. Concrete grades explained.
Measure the pour, enter it below, then call us with the figure. A rough estimate is enough - we batch to what the job takes.
Measure the area you're filling - a slab, footing, trench or base. Mixed units are fine.

Surex Concrete delivers volumetric concrete across Woking, GU21, GU22 and GU24, from its yard in Effingham about 22 minutes away. The truck mixes on site, so you can order from 1m³ and pay only for what you use.
Ours can. The Victoria Arch has a signed clearance of 4.4 metres and our trucks are lower than that, so we can reach addresses on either side of the railway.
Both. Central Woking and the heaths sit on Bagshot sand, while Knaphill and the low ground by the Wey have more clay. Sand needs a well compacted sub-base, and clay usually means deeper footings.
For a new front driveway over 5m², yes, unless the water runs onto a lawn or border. Woking has 27 conservation areas, so check with the borough council if you're in one.
Same or next day is normally available, with a two hour arrival window agreed when you book. The run from Effingham is about 22 minutes.
We deliver from 1m³. Orders under 3m³ carry a part load charge, and at 3m³ or more there isn't one.
Give us the postcode, a rough volume and how the truck gets in. We'll confirm the grade, the price and a delivery slot on the call.
